- Chapter President, Joe McCreary, opened the meeting at 6:00 pm.
- The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited and the membership was led in prayer by chapter member, Wayne Woods.
- All members with birthdays in April were recognized and everyone sung Happy Birthday.
- Joe then temporarily adjourned the meeting for lunch from Mikeska's next door.
- Joe then reopened the meeting at 7:00 pm - The following business was conducted...
- The first order of business was the election of new officers...

Bob Supak, chairman of the 2023 Election Nominations Committee, along with committee member, Ronnie Miller,
then administered the officers election process. See photo below. The 3-man committee was assigned and
formed at the previous January chapter meeting. The other two members are chapter members, Billy Orsak
and Ronnie Miller.
The purpose of the Nomination Committee is to solicite candidates and nominations for chapter officer positions,
President, Vice-President, and Secretary/Treasurer, along with Board of Directors positions (our chapter has
4 total BOD members). The committee then submitted the slate of candidates at our March 8th chapter meeting.
Bob then presented the current list of 2023 candidates that the Nominations Committee has solicited for this year's election.
He also said that it was a bit tuff for the committee to find members willing to run for chapter office this time around.
Candidate for President: Richard Woods
Candidate for Vice President: Prudencio Arriaga
Candidate for Secretary/Treasurer: John Steelman
Candidate for Director: Augie Limas
Candidate for Director: Mark Pilcik

As can be seen above, there was only one candidate for each Officer and Director position. So, there was no need to
hold an actual ballot voting election process. Instead, Bob intitiated the election via the Acclamation process,
whereby a motion was made to the attending members, such that all listed candidates should be elected by a single
majority vote of attending members. The motion passed - a show of hands was then taken and all attending members
were in favor of the motion as it was stated.
The newly elected 2023-2025 VVA Chapter 1069 Officers and Directors are shown below. Congratulations to all the
candidates! The chapter membership thanks all of you for your service to our chapter!
