Much thanks goes out to chapter member, Billy Orsak, for providing us with this October chapter meeting report.

Where is the Leon County Expo Center?
The Leon County Expo Center is located a few miles North of Centerville Texas.
The address is: 3637 Co Rd 305, Buffalo, TX. Centerville and the Expo Center
are located in Leon County. Centerville was so named as it is near the geographic
center of Leon County. However, it is also coincidentally located nearly midway
between Dallas and Houston.
For those who may attend this event, please take some pictures. We can then show
them on our projector at that next meeting. It would also be nice for someone to
write a brief report on the Veterans Honor Ceremony so we can then post the report
on our website. Thank you.

Ronnie Miller informed the group about Honor Flight Houston, which provides free
trips for veterans to Washington DC to visit the WW II, Korea, and Vietnam memorials
and other points of interest to veterans. For more information go to the website

Larry also reminded all present about the upcoming Veterans Day remembrance at
Ryan’s Lake on Nov 12th. All members and family members who are interested in
attending should contact John Steelman before Nov 9th in order to have a good
headcount for the outing. In addition, volunteers will be contacting members to
remind them and provide a headcount to John.
Chapter Secretary/Treasurer, John Steelman, has informed us that the start time for
the outing is 11:00AM, with lunch being served at 12:30PM. The main course will be
BBQ'd pork steaks. After lunch, members may stay as long as they like,
or leave at any time they like. Be sure to thank Mike & Nancy Ryan for their great
hospitality and for again having us out to their wonderful property.
Bob Supak will bring copies of the map to next month's chapter meeting.
If you have any questions regarding the outing, please contact John Steelman.
If you will not be attending the next meeting, but will be going to the outing,
please contact John so he can collect a good head-count for attending members,
spouses and family members guests - it is needed for the food catering service!
