VVA Chapter 1069 ANNUAL ELECTION Meeting Report for: May 5-12-2021

The meeting was held at Mikeska’s BBQ, (located on Hwy 59) El Campo, TX.

Newly elected President, Joe McCreary opened the meeting at 7:00 PM (see photo below).

The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited. A prayer was given by chapter member, Wayne Woods (far left).
New President, Joe McCreary (center), and New Vice-President, Larry Monroe (far right).
Joe then recessed the meeting for the evening meal.

After the meal, Joe re-opened the meeting at 8:00 PM

Joe then recognized all those members who were having birthdays in May, and Happy Birthday was sung by all.

Joe then introduced guests and potential new members. Note that 31 members & spouses attended this
meeting - not a bad turnout (see photo below). The chapter officers and directors thank all those that
attended the meeting. We hope that all chapter members will be again returning and attending our monthly
chapter meetings, and that all of us and our families will be returning to a normal life.

Bob Supak then gave a short presentation, first asking the membership to be sure to let him know if their
phone number or email address changes. He next reminded the membership that the chapter's Member Bio & Photo
Album/Booklet project was still active and that members should think about participating. We currently
have 22 members who have participated.

Joe then opened up the meeting for any/all Old and New business. Several different topics were discussed.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM. Congratulations to Joe McCreary as our newly elected President for
his very first meeting for VVA Chapter 1069!

After the meeting was adjourned, several members gathered around the Vietnam map (see photo below) for a
discussion of a time past. "Welcome Home Boys!"
