  • Post discussion regarding the Schulenburg fundraiser raffle drawing and stew dinner that was held in Dubina Texas. Some of our chapter members attended the event and were very impressed with the event.
  • There was some thoughts and discussion last year by the chapter officers and BOD to maybe host some sort of celebration on Vietnam Veterans Day, March 29, 2020. Location being considered was Hungerford Hall. However, the chapter Officers and BOD members have decided to cancel the event planning for this year. Perhaps in the future, this would be the sort of event where we could partner up with other local VVA chapters (Victoria, Schulenburg, Columbus) to plan for a bigger and better event.
  • The VVA Texas State Council (TSC) bi-annual meeting is being held in April, in Beaumont. This is an important meeting as new TSC officers will be elected, so our chapter will be sending 2 delegates to that meeting.
  • A short discussion by Leonard Sternadel explained the current situation with the Wharton County VSO new hire. Basically, the new hire decided to instead accept another job. The WC VSO new hire committee is in the process of selecting an alternate application.
